Fixed Price, No Games: How Cygnify Is Rewiring the Hiring Industry

Recruitment has always been an expensive gamble. Cygnify has built a subscription model that takes the casino out of the equation entirely.

Here is the dirty secret every growing company already knows: traditional recruitment is broken. You pay a placement fee that can run to 20 per cent of a first-year salary, wait months for a shortlist, and if the hire doesn't stick, you start again from scratch. The agency takes its cut regardless. Cygnify looked at that arrangement and decided to build something structurally different.

The model is called Talent Acquisition as a Service, and the mechanics are straightforward even if the execution behind them is anything but. Companies subscribe for a fixed monthly fee and get access to a fully operational global recruitment function: sourcing technology, market intelligence, and on-the-ground recruiters working in the regions that matter. No placement fees layered on top. No lock-in clauses. No invoice that spikes every time someone accepts an offer.

For scaling businesses, this changes the maths considerably. Building an in-house talent team is expensive and slow; outsourcing to a traditional agency is unpredictable and opaque. Cygnify positions itself in the gap between those two options, functioning less like a supplier and more like an embedded hiring engine that happens to sit outside your org chart.

'We built Cygnify because we'd both lived through the frustrations on the employer side. We knew exactly where the old model was bleeding companies dry.'

The founding logic is grounded in decades of accumulated experience rather than theoretical innovation. Adam Lamprey spent seventeen years based in Singapore, including a period running a 140-person talent acquisition team across Asia for Indeed.com. He has hired at scale across APAC, the Middle East and beyond, which means Cygnify's global reach isn't a marketing claim bolted on after the fact. It is baked into the original design.

The candidate database sits at over 500 million profiles, which is the kind of reach that most standalone in-house teams could not build in years. Combined with active recruiters operating in key markets, it means clients aren't waiting for the right candidate to stumble into an advertised role. The sourcing is proactive, targeted and continuous for as long as the subscription runs.

The client list reflects the ambition. Cloudflare, Kaspersky, Aon and Infosys Compaz are not businesses that hire tentatively, and they are not organisations that tolerate slow pipelines. That Cygnify serves them on a subscription basis says something about the credibility of the infrastructure underpinning the offer.

Recruitment at its worst is a middleman business where the incentives are misaligned from day one. You want the right hire; the agency wants the billable placement. Cygnify has restructured the relationship so that both sides are pulling in the same direction. The fee is fixed, so the value has to be demonstrated in quality and speed rather than volume of invoices. It is a cleaner arrangement, and frankly, it is long overdue.
