Membership Terms
What membership includes, how payment works, and the consent that lets us make you look brilliant.
The membership
S/ME membership is a rolling monthly subscription (£30/month unless otherwise agreed) that entitles your business to editorial coverage in the magazine: your business profile, feature articles, interviews, spotlight placements, adverts and social content, produced by the S/ME editorial desk and published on the fortnightly edition cycle.
Payment & renewal
Payment is taken monthly in advance via Stripe. Your membership renews automatically each month until cancelled. If a payment fails and isn't resolved, we may pause your coverage until it's brought up to date.
Cancellation
You can cancel any time from your member profile — one click in the Membership panel of your portal — and it takes effect at the end of your current paid period, so you keep everything until then. Prefer to write? hello@smemagazine.co.uk works too. Published editions are part of the magazine's permanent archive; cancelling stops future coverage but past editions remain published unless you ask us to retire your profile.
How your coverage is made
Every feature is crafted in-house by the S/ME studio — and you choose how you appear. Supply your own photography and we'll build your pages around it exactly as it is. Or let our studio give you the full glossy treatment — stylised, editorial-grade imagery produced from the photos you share, with the look of a professional cover shoot, included in your membership at no extra cost. Most members love it; it's entirely your call. Either way, your coverage is produced by our editorial desk in the S/ME house style.
Publication
By submitting your profile, story, answers and photographs, you give our editorial desk the go-ahead to craft and publish your coverage — that's what makes the magazine effortless: submit once, and we make you look brilliant edition after edition. S/ME controls final presentation and publication timing. If you'd like anything amended after it's live, tell the desk at hello@smemagazine.co.uk and we'll refine it promptly.
Image & editorial consent
By becoming a member you grant The Simple Agency Ltd a licence to use the photographs, logo and business information you provide — and the editorial imagery and features we produce from them, including stylised and art-directed portraiture based on your likeness — in the S/ME magazine, its archive, its social media channels and its marketing. You confirm you own or have permission to share everything you upload. You can withdraw consent for future use at any time in writing; we'll retire the relevant material from active use within 14 days.
Accuracy & approval
We aim for every word and image to make your business look its best. You are responsible for the accuracy of the business information you give us. If anything published about your business is wrong, tell us and we'll correct it promptly.
What we don't promise
We're a magazine and a visibility engine — we don't guarantee specific sales, enquiries or follower numbers. We do promise professional editorial coverage, produced with care, published on schedule.
Standards
We reserve the right to decline or retire coverage that is unlawful, misleading, or that harms the magazine's standards. In the unlikely event we cancel your membership without cause, we'll refund the unused part of your month.
The legal frame
The membership contract is between your business and The Simple Agency Ltd (company no. 15015327, registered in England and Wales), governed by the laws of England and Wales. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.
